ABOUT THE POSITION

Bättre Assistans is part of Inre Kraft, and we are now looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant at 70% or as a substitute for our client in Sävastön, Boden. The working hours are scheduled as day shifts starting from 08:00 to 08:00, of which 8 hours are sleeping duty. The work is scheduled on both weekdays and weekends.

The start date is according to agreement, and we would like you to begin the introduction as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his 35s who lives independently in Sävastön. He has autism, multiple sclerosis (MS), and an intellectual disability, and therefore needs your help as an assistant to live a meaningful life based on his needs and wishes. His interests include listening to music, cartoons, video games, and going for walks.

The tasks include:

  • Support in daily routines and household chores
  • Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and exercise
  • Transfers using aids such as ceiling lifts, manual wheelchairs, and electric wheelchairs.
  • Use of communication aids such as written schedules and social stories, etc.

To provide the right support for the client's physical needs, you must have the ability to create contact and communicate in a responsive manner.

We expect you to be clear in your communication and have a low-arousal approach in your interactions with the client. It is important that you can contribute to safety and structure, as the client needs predictability in daily life.

We also appreciate a sense of humor and a playful side - being able to joke and have fun together will be a valuable part of the relationship once you get to know each other.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in care

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working as a personal assistant
  • Care education or equivalent
  • Experience in nursing
  • Familiarity with transfers and the use of lifting and transfer aids
  • Knowledge and experience working with autism, MS, or intellectual disabilities

Employment rate: 70% and substitutes

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.
